Barnacled chests and skeleton captain chests.

    Hello.
    I wanted to talk about barnacled chests as the commendation required to get the new items have brought some things to my attention.

    Currently there is no way of getting the barnacled chests consitently. Shipwrecks do not have them most of the time. Sinking skelly ships does not guarantee one. Diving in every island shoreline also comes with limited success. I have done about 4 skelly fleets past days and I average 3-4 barnacled chests per fleet. Am I just lazy or is this commendation a bit overtuned considering you need to deliver 300 of those chests.

    That brings me to another question and possible fix. The skeleton captains chests do not count towards barnacled chests even though they have barnacles on them. Im wondering if they should be redesigned to make the fact that they dont count more obvious? Alternatively I think they could make the chests count towards the commendation as then there would be a consistent way of actually getting those chests.

    Now I am pretty sure that big part of you already has the commendation. Am I just lazy?

    @papatankers2041 its nice to have something tied to a long term commendation. it could be worse, im pretty sure originally that commendation was 1000.

    I've been having fun giving the chests away to people. Its amazing how happy people are to get those chests.

    You arent lazy, its alot of chests to get. Luckily, the new items are in the normal shops and are not going anywhere. You have plenty of time. Dont try and grind big grade V commendations. Just be aware of them, if you see a skeleton sloop or shipwreck in the course of achieving your shorter term goals remember to go after them and you will get to grade V before you know it. However, if you spend all your time doing nothing but searching for those chests you will burn yourself out and probably not be having very much fun.

    @papatankers2041 I was one of the few who achieved the Hoarder of Barnacled Gold achievement before the number was reduced, earning me the rare Overachiever Sails. How did I do it? It wasn't intentional. I simply never passed up a shipwreck. Embrace your inner scavenger and you'll have that commendation in no time. Good luck!

    I do find it odd that Skeleton Captain chests don't count as shipwrecked chests, given they have the same aesthetics.

    I %100 agree on skeleton captain chests being counted as shipwrecked since they are literally wrecked ships that come out from the deeps. However these types of commendations are not meant to be prioritised so in my opinion don't focus on that and burn yourself out. Just play the game and it will naturally happen at some point.

    @papatankers2041 I got close to 500 before they nerfed this down to 300...from 1000 chests
    Just go by every shipwreck you see and you will have it someday...
