people can still leave storage crates both in obvious spots and hidden spots but this can be for people that want to make sure their leftovers get found if someone wants them.

Could be interesting, I don't think I would be opposed to it. Something small to encourage some "friendly" behavior on the servers and among the player base. I'm not opposed to things presenting that option.
