So in my opinion alliance servers are basically cheat servers. The worst thing that can happen is trying to play the game and have the entire server coming after you all of a sudden and they are all allies. I don't mind alliances in general but the way that people exploit them takes away from the effort others are putting in to get lvl 75 with the trading companies. What do you guys think? Is it something Rare should take a look at or leave it as it is?

Imagine you are a pvp player and you set sail looking for blood. You find a ship and sink it but it has no treasure. You continue on and find a reaper ship. Again it has no treasure, just the emissary flag. You eventually realize you are on a server with only pvp players. No one is doing pve so no treasure is being produced. Everyone is sinking empty ships.Now imagine the other ships leave and you merge into an alliance server. You're now a fat kid in a candy store. 5 ships loaded with loot, all with their guards down because they feel safer in their friendly grindy server. You have nothing to lose while they have a ton, and you have the advantage because they don't know you're coming. This is a PvPers dream. Nothing they have done prior to you joining the server, or anyone else on an alliance server, has changed your gaming experience, until now. They put together this alliance, and they produced tons of treasure, treasure that isn't theirs until they turn it in, and now you have the opportunity to steal it all.
Don't be upset people create alliance servers, nothing they do effects you, unless you find yourself in their server with the chance to sink them. Then you should be thankful they did all the work of producing and collecting this loot for you to steal.

The only problem is that they're always on the "xbox only servers". And if someone leaves the alliance they just do a crew post and get more players. There is very little chance to get into an alliance server. No threat, no risk and reward, ruins the games core gameplay.@oo-x9-oo Ahoy matey!

Be courteous. Don’t insult players you don’t know. If humour is the intent, remember that this can be lost or misinterpreted online, and words can very easily offend. Be mindful of what you’re saying and if someone asks a question, see if you can help them out as you’d appreciate being helped out yourself if the roles were reversed.
Now look, I understand most people see Alliance servers are cheating but honestly it's really not. We are using components that are already in the game. Now yes, it is very annoying to have a whole fleet come up on you but from what I've seen most alliances leave you alone and are hap-hazard of you.

This guy is right, it really isn’t a cheat, it’s definitely more of an exploit the developers didn’t calculate when designing the alliance system. They left it in place to appease the “PvE server plz” folks that find it hard to position their ship and aim cannons and/or critically think during 1v1 ground battles.
Alliance servers are helpful for people who dislike pvp, which is fine.
You shouldn't complain about how play style, the game isn't competitive at all.
You shouldn't complain about they can get lvl 75 faster. It doesn't effect you.The game isn't competitive, people should play how they want to do.
People dislike PVP, which why they do alliance server so they can enjoy the game.Example: Minecraft, people play with loot off and some people play with loot on.
Just a suggestion, don't complain how people play.
And, I like pvp so I mostly play 70% of the time public.
