Since rare is deciding to re-release time limited cosmetics.. how about allowing people who played on day one to buy the day one eye patch if they didn't know it was a thing?!?

And that is why it was a bad idea for the time limited items to be added, if those can lose their value... anything can. I was unable to play on day one and also started on day 2.
Anyway @Rikology, not all cosmetics need to be available to all. You missed some you missed them. Have Rare add new stuff instead of rehashing the old...

@rikology I thought it was just automatically added to your inventory, like the launch crew eye of reach. Apologies for the mix-up.
You cant have it both ways bud. Re-release content that we were told was special to the events that we did it before (actually I support this move by Rare - if they give us all the event cosmetics).
Its easy to say oh well suck it up (like many on the forums already said) about the event cosmetics. Its funny seeing people deny people the day one eye patch. Why not? Its not hurting you.
@d-jaguar Now? They were always pointless! That's why they're called cosmetics! They're important solely for the individuals that want to use them.
@galactic-geek that is a great point, but I have become a pessimist to all of it this past year. There is little incentive for me in the game. I do look forward to future updates for new opportunities.
In the first year, many thought the skins would help us share the world with one another through stories. It never worked out that way. I stopped trying to get all the timed event skins. I kind of wish they took the Plants Vs Zombies model just a lot of skins each update. We may have strange looking sailors running around, but it may add to our own story as we retell the story of "chicken chaser"
I just get on to sail and do whatever I like. Rarely turn in anything anymore, and limit my game time so I have yet to finish the tall tales (though I am glad they are in the game for others to enjoy).
@rikology if you played on day one the eye patch was forced into your inventory so if you played on day one you would have it no matter what
I have the patch so this may be biased but, I don't think this should ever happen, there are so few incentives for early players like the day one patch or the launch crew eye of reach that I think would be quite disrespectful. Since you are an early player, I can understand your frustration but let's not forget it is called the day one patch.
@cdn-erik I thought like the eye of reach they had cost 1 gold coin.
It was also proposed by a player.

It ruins the point of the eye patch.
