My friend and I were on a sloop and he hit a keg in the sea. Now normally it gives us a boom and a load of holes to patch up fast. This time I instantly died (in the hold) and he died also at the wheel and Strait away the ship was sinking instantly (water was upto the stairs on death).
Never had that before possible bug??
Water was up to the stairs, when you respawned from dieing? Regular keg, and you were just unlucky that the initial blast killed you both.
Otherwise, if it was as instantaneous as you say, it was a mega keg (stronghold keg). Those do that. Quite rare to find outside of a stronghold, but, it could happen.
@mc-rossco wow here fellow solo Slooper! True Story I noticed that too, In the past i had a bunch time no matter if I fought against an other sloop and died or vs an Meg/kraken! I knew when I die it’s ok I’m coming back and start bailing, nowadays with low dmg sometimes to my ship I die and the Ship is Gone WOW it’s Gone! Rare what have you done? Or is it an Bug?? I noticed the same in Arena with Sloops!
@Jeff-Jragon No i didn't respawn on the ship, as i was doing the dying animation the water rose up extremely quickly to the stairs and that was it. Never even got to respawn and bail just boom instant death and instant ship loss.
