first before i say anything this is goning to be about the side of pirates we dont see in the game cause for the most part everyone in the lore excited some are good so why dont we change that up and show our dark sides.
1.new factions
we all know the normal factions that we see all the time such as the gold hoarders’ order of souls’ athenas Fortune‘ the merchants alliance’ the hunters call and the sea dogs and we all know rare will most likely add more but what would they be heres some examples.
1.the war mongers
now i have talked about this faction before in another post but now i have more ideas for them in many ways first who they are.
the war mongers are a japanese war faction who ended up stranded in the sea of thieves while fighting a war and now need your help getting there supplies back from ship wrecks that hit islands while coming into the sea of thieves.
the voyages you get from them are called war stash voyages where you go to island to island looking for supplies they need for when they leave the sea of thieves some day if they even do once you grab all the supplies you need and give them to the general at a outpost or at a new fort that the war mongers have placed a camp at they will give you gold and rep and once you get up to level 50 you get a ship set a new weapon which will be a crossbow and a katana and some pirate samurai armor for your character there a bit like the merchants but they have more of a incentive to help them out.
- the reaper of Souls
This faction is owned by the ferryman this faction is a bit like a part of the tall tale called fate of the morning star where you free the souls of three pirates from the crew of the morning star which is what you will be doing in this.
Basically what you will be doing is setting souls free when you start the voyage you go to the ferry of the dammed and get a voyage then he will give you a list of souls you must save once you are done you free them and head back to the ferryman and give him back a piece of paper you find on each of the chests.
By the way the pieces of paper will be on the chests and when you pick them up they go into the your inventory then you go to the ferryman as I said.
3.the bounty keepers
these guys will either give you hell or a lot of money for what you do these guys will also bring some new ai enemies into the game with there own ships as well as walk around on islands either to help you or kill you basically what they do is put bountys on a player on the map who has gotten a special marker depending on what they did in that server and what level they are.
if the person with the bounty is low level they will give a small amount of money if you kill them but if they are a high level or pirate legend they give you a lot more money in return.
the way you get a bounty is by finding a marker on the map like the reapers chest or by doing something such as a reapers mark fort which will have a new type of skull cursed with a reapers mark that puts a bounty on your head.
if you stay alive long enough or sell the skull you get lets say around the same as a ashen chest or a captains chest depending on how long you have the skull or the marker on for plus if you can steal the skull the marker is lifted till you get it back.
now the reason i made this post was cause of this
2.evil and good versions of factions
imagine a version of the athenas fortune was evil wanted to kill and punder and steal loot from others kill and sink peoples ships and all around be a very ecil pirate like flameheart in some cases well heres some examples
1.the souls of the lost
now these guys are outcasts of the order of souls who ended getting banned from the group cause of them using dark ruitals for there own being to hurt people.
what they want you to do is take skull from people to take to them or to dig up skulls with evil powers so they can get better at there skills to use it against the order of souls.
in the voyages you get from them it will be something completely new their now called skull steal voyages where you go out and find random ships and steal skulls from people and bring them back to them so they give you gold and rep once you get level 50 with these guys you get a special sword called the sword of broken souls which has a effect on it thag shows faces of the ones it took lives from as well as a new ship set called the ship of lost souls.
2.the healers of greed
now these guys are a different version of the gold hoarders heres there story.
now these guys are people who became greedy while working with the gold hoarders but fought the curse and left to go help others to escape their unknown fate the way you help them is by looking for cursed pieces of gold to be turned into some sort of special item that will help people from the gold hoarders get rid of there curse of greed there missions are called cursed gold hunters voyages.
when you get level 50 with them you get a special version of the gold hoarders jacket and a cool new hat called the healers lover or something else that rare can name it.
3.the dark athena
now this is the last one on this list before i get into other stuff cause idk how long this post will be and if i need to make a part two so here it is.
now this faction is runned by corrupted pirate legends that have a aura of black fog coming off of them and dark purple eyes to signify they turned into a dangerous form of evil pirates.
the voyages you get from these guys are still athenas but with a bit of a dark turn the athenas chests and loot are all corrupted versions of other loot in the game such as the athena chest it self which slowly shows visions of people who have died trying to get this chest as you pick it up and walk it back to your ship the effect that comes of it is the same as how the the two new npcs look with the dark purple light and black smoke coming off it with a corrupted ashen version as well and once you sell it you get gold and rep
same as the normal athena faction once your level 10 this time you get a new ship set called the corrupted ghost set as well as a new pirate legend set of clothes and ghost set that will go with this.
3.a new outpost for the bad and evil
this outpost will only be allowed to some pirates as you have to choose which side to be on which is good or evil as there will be a new outpost in the shroud only allowed to the most evil of pirates who have a special shroudbreaker on there ship.
once you get there you can interact with different people including some pirates you have seen and not seen who are pretty bad such as the gold hoarder gray marrow flameheart and some others as in this area you can start new tall tales called a dead mans tale which is just a new version of it with a evil twist which is coming from the evil side of the bunch where you can help the bad guys out in there plans of greed and revenge on the sea of thieves plus this will intercept with the normal tall tales in some way lets say in the evil version the shores of gold which in this will be called the shores of greedy where you have to help the gold hoarder with some things and at the end habe to fight with him against pirates doing the tall tale and stop them from selling his skull which will be pretty cool as there are two ending so each play through will make it even make it even more fun for players on both sides.
when at this outpost you can do all sorts of things other then selling stuff here such as fighting other players play stuff like chess bet on games and other stuff even trade things to other players such and ship sets and swords and weapons you have unlocked but this will only be for pirate legends only.
