Option-able ways to start Fort of the Damned

  • The lighting can't stay like it currently is forever. No one will be able to catch Stormfish and Blackcloud Wreckers, and it is way too overpowered currently.
It needs to be reduced in the next update, but then even fewer people would care to start up the Fort of the Damned.

So I feel the fort needs different way to start it up.

What about putting beacons on different islands with the different colors already lit up? You would still have to spend time sailing around getting the lights. At least the white light could be lit up on a beacon. Maybe add a new beacon somewhere where it is harder to get up to?

A different way could be with these new Ashen keys. Be able to start the fort by trading/sacrificing 5 or 10 of the keys + a Ritual skull. More people would care to start it up this way I feel.

So if you start the fort with keys, the loot inside would be worth less compared to if started by lighting all the lanterns.

Whatever you do, the lightning needs to be reduced, but the FotD still needs to be doable. Reducing the lightning only will make no one care about the fort.

  • @kashmero I never had problems with fishing while in a storm...I could have catch one fish more, because lightning got me, but the other 4-5 fish weren't a problem

  • @kashmero too fish in the storm, go to islands, go to the beach and stand knee high deep in the water, then start fishing, if you do this you wont get struck by lighting, or at least i havent. but i also havent tried with the latest update, but i think it will still work

Won't work for Blackcloud-wreckers...but you're right, jump into the water, but watch out for sharks

  • @schwammlgott i have never had sharks come at me, idk if thats because i havent spent long enough in the water, but normally the storm moves, and i have to go find a new island. but yea you are right, it would be very hard to do this for blackcloud wreckers

  • @d4m0r3d while catching the second fish most times a shark appears...at least when I did it...

  • @schwammlgott i must be lucky?
