Anti-stuck feature

    There be one thing a solo pirate fears more than anything, and it happened to yours truly:

    If you didn't watch: I got stuck on an outcropping of rocks with the chest of legends right outside an outpost. I was playing solo, I couldn't die, and I couldn't move.

    Either please fix the outcropping, or come up with an anti-stuck feature like taking you to the ferry of the damned.

    Edit: I suppose the Athena’s chest was emphasized, but I want to make clear that my issue is that I got stuck and I had no way of getting unstuck short of logging out of the game and losing everything. I don’t think this should happen.

    And I did end up waking my friend at 1 in the morning to help turn the chest in. I sacrificed friendship for an Athena’s chest because let’s be honest what pirate wouldn’t lol

    @seanethermore if you had even a single friend who was playing sea of thieves it wouldnt have been hard to get them to join and sell the chest for you

    I always have friends playing SoT and you know what? They never come. Why? Because they're already playing SoT... 🙄

    @SeaNethermore Follow @ajm123's advice - this is how we prevent unfortunate incidents like yours from ever happening again - to you or anyone else. Do your part so others don't have to suffer your fate.

    You shouldn't be required to have friends online to get unstuck.

    Unless they can get rid of all of these sticking issues... There really should be a way to suicide... even with a timer.

    It really is disappointing when it happens, and I've had it happen quite a few times with a ship full of loot.

    #1 rule of playing solo and carrying important loot is to stay away from rocks and trees. It gets worse when you're on a rowboat and you have to worry about getting teleported too.

    Alright, I’ll submit it in a bug report. Just kind of irksome that we could ever be put in this situation in the first place without a way to escape.

    @galactic-geek im sure if you say hey i have a free athena chest waiting, i just need someone to grab it and sell it. im already at the outpost, just join and sell it for a free athena. im sure it wouldnt take long to find one person who would join. also their is a sea of thieves discord that you could advertise this too and you would probs get spammed

    I agree. Been stuck a few times in the game. I think rare should introduce a suicide option for when your stuck..like some pill you can take that kills you.
    Bad luck on the chest btw.

    @d4m0r3d I think you're missing the point. Of course there is a way to solve this IF you have friends that play, the point is that it shouldn't come to that. Rare need to fix their bugs end of story.

    I know how to do all of that, I just don't like putting in all of the work. The point, of course, is to get help BEFORE the start of an Athena run.

    guys I appreciate being told what I should have done in hindsight, but the issue I brought up is that I got stuck in the first place with no way to get out of it (short of logging out and losing everything). That’s my issue. The athena chest was just icing on the salt lol.
