Stuck on Island after losing Matchmaking Event

We wanted to try out the new Season 8 PVP feature and things went smoothly at first, got connected really fast and unfortunately, we lost.
The problem then started when we tried to get back to the ship after respawning on a random Island. The ship wasn't there and taking the mermaid just brought us back to the Island again, meaning we had to log out and open a new crew.
