I am curious how much people who really love the PVP portion have player blackwake a game solely revolving around PVP in a constant succession of battling other players over and over.
Now I enjoy this portion in Sea of Thieves quite a bit, the rush you get seeing another person who could be a friend or foe, who could foil your treasure hunting or assist you against a random encounter with Kraken.
But I feel there needs to be a healthy PvE situation that RARE needs to expand on badly when people talk about this game all they reference is the PVP and SKELETONS.
I've been reading replies about there only being player ships in the world, so the world will be fully populated by players, you're giving a 50/50 chance of having a "storied" experience like rare describes because online games offer sometimes the most toxic players.
As a matter of fact SKULL AND BONES a game again solely revolving around players vs players had such a bad backlash once information came out that it would just modes of players battling other players, that they decided to go back to the drawing board and possibly create a open world pirate game where the players can do what they had done in other previous Assassin creed pirate games.
Yeah, I know this is alpha - Rare hasn't shown us that much yet - I could be blown away by the burst of information that could possibly come out and just look completely foolish, but this just worries me.
We need more information of how you're going to implement NPC besides the port merchants that seem static with no day night schedule, I am assuming those same merchants are going to be magically on every island too...Not sure how that part will work in terms of immersion.
THERE IS JUST SO MUCH questions here...
I am not saying anything bad about PVP in this game by the way I enjoy it but I don't want this game to revolve around it, because right now It's like a massive BATTLE ROYAL game on the open seas.
