can we please have all ships have the same amount of cannons as they do players, like the galleon has. if there is 4 cannons shooting at a sloop its an unfair fight
AMOUNT OF CANNONS

That discussion again...it makes perfect sense the galleon has 4 on each side and the other ships one less per side than players are...galleon turns extremely slow, by the time it's turning the guy on the helm can easy go to a cannon, shoot a couple of times and get back to continue steering...especially the sloop turns that fast, if you want to go and shoot you probably turn too far if you shoot...
So...not really neededPros and cons to all ships
they are not equal they are balanced which is most important
Galleon is durable with lots of fire power but their sacrifice is maneuverability and a high manpower requirement for sailing
On a sloop you maneuver out of their range (which isn't difficult)
chain shot the masts to keep them snail speed
bottom holes
mid holes
ballast ball
blunderbombs/firebombs/cannonballs the top deck to give them chaos while they try to repair/bucketGalleons aren't that common because of how big of a pain they are and the ones that do exist only a minority of those are sailed by highly skilled players

And a little tip dont go on the offensive if a galleon is parked they will broadside you
I mean... that just means you need to play it smart. If the galleon is parked, you absolutely want to go on the offensive becasue it takes them forever to get moving. You just do it from a position where they can't shoot you.
It's called crossing the T. Their bow or stern into your broadside.

hmmm... there is no better opportunity to taking on a ship than when it is parked. Galleon or not, my sloop is swooping in for some fun.
Little tip... don't attack it from the broadside?
@GASMARK2 a sloop shouldn't try to go into a full broadside battle with a galleon, the cannon difference is irrelevant.
Would make it worse for sloopers anyway
You're better off getting shot at (and often missed) by pirates spamming cannonballs than having 2-3 pirates constantly trying to board you because once that happens it's over.
Galleons of average skill very often burn through their cannonballs in the heat of the moment with less cannons they go through less of them dragging out the interaction which isn't to your benefit
Play your ship to its strengths! A galleon's strength is its firepower, hence why it has 4 cannons to a side! Use your sloop's manueverability to get around them, or use your brigantine's speed to get past them! Remember, if they're firing all 4 cannons at once, they can't easily manuever or move their ship. Take advantage of that!
