Can we get fish repellent to repel certain species of fish? So if we are hunting a wrecker we could use the repellent to repel splashtail (significantly lowering the % of spawn rate). Make the repellent a Rare find or purchasable at the trading posts. Please!!!

Honestly the bait should be the repellent. They simply need to fix the spawn rates. The right bait/area combo should prioritize the non-splashtail fish. Islehoppers are almost impossible now because it's always Splashtails that appear. I had 6 in a row spawn in a single storm making me basically waste 30 minutes. It's making commendation hunting for Hunter's Call annoyingly tedious. They used to be better but once they upped the value the Splashtail ration skyrocketed.
I am level 50 hunters call. When I use the correct bait for wreckers which is earthworm I see way more wreckers than splash tail. If I see a splash tail I real in and re cast so I don’t have to waste the bait on a splash tail. It is very easy to tell fish apart once you have fished. I don’t think it’s that big of an issue. I have wreckers 100% completed and never felt at one point they needed to lower splash tail. The hardest part about wreckers was finding a storm at a sunken ship for the black clouds.
