I hope I can recall all the deets....
Tryna finish the gems part of the event right now.
Turns in at Plunder Outpost. Notice a ship doing a shipwreck to the south. I'm chill, so I don't bother them. Woot! They left! I head south to check for leftovers,right? Mate is arranging chests in a row boat completely oblivious to me. I decide to send him a cannonball and I waste the poor bloke... welp, might as well see what he had. A few chests, collectors chests, some. Ashen stuff!! 3 gems in a chest too!
Scan the horizon and a sloop is headed my way. I ditch my rowboat and take the damaged one and haul poopdeck! Make it to Golden Sands and a Gally is headed for me..., I go to drop the rowboat and friggin karma my session glitches out and I'm title screened!
Le sigh...
A few nights later. Sailing around with a merchant voyage. Headed to Plunder Outpost to drop a gem.and skull off... (50gh, 46OoS, 41 Merch btw) a Gally locks on so I grab my collector's chest and do a sail by. Drop the gem and skull for an event tick and some rep. Sacrifice my chest and a seafarer chest and scuttle, cool, nbd...
Respawn at Ancient Spire. Collect my animal crates and toss them off the dock cause I want the milage. Head north and that same Gally locks on. Long story short, they give chase. Nose in the wind and I dance, wave, show pineapples and Cursed balls. The try so hard to shoot and board me. I lol. They even pass up a shipwreck! Makes it even sweeter for me. Eventually the winds take me into the red. I repair until I get force despawned. Soon as I respawn, I get the server merge. That means they quit. Ha. Counter-trolling initiatives are super effective. Got a few more gems, fishies and skulls after before my Merchant voyage times out lol.
There was another story, but I forget it right now.
