Does anyone know exactly how much time there is to purchase the time-limited content before the event ends? I'm a few strongholds away from earning the required doubloons and want to know how long I have left so I can pace myself accordingly. I know Joe Neate said early January, but that's kind of vague. Rumors/speculation appreciated. Cheers!

@guarez If I had to guess I'd say probably next week at the latest. Rare gets back into the office tomorrow (January 2nd). I figure if it were getting patched out tomorrow they would have said at the start of January. It's going to happen sooner than later though so hopefully you can scrape together the last bit of doubloons you need. Good luck!

Yes, good points. Hopefully they give us at least a few days heads-up. This event was a tough one for me mainly because it forced me to change playstyle (I'm usually a solo slooper), but largely because of RNG hell (Still haven't found a Box of Wonderous Secrets, let alone a Shrouded Ghost). But I feel good about my chances, what with 3 successful strongholds to go. Thanks, and may the wind fill your sails!
@guarez You do not have to complete those tasks before the end of the event. The cosmetic items will go away but the ability to complete the commendations and earn dubloons will remain.

I understand this, which is really cool since I'd like the "Legendary Kraken Hunter" title eventually (halfway there). However, I'm trying to obtain the last two pieces of the Wailing Barnacle set I need before they're gone forver. Don't really care for the flag, but I'd really like the sails at least.

Exactly. I know the commendations remain but I have the capstan and flag to still get.
