Audio fix and in-game party chat

  • As a PC player I often come across xbox players who barely can hear me talk in game chat, but they can hear me fine in xbox party chat.

Now that you have announced the Arena, will you consider making in-game party chat and adjustable audio settings for your crew. some people are insanely loud while others are barely hearable.

As a xbox captain i would love to see getting this some attention.
When we are in xbox party it automaticly mutes the in-game chat.

If i want to talk in-game i have to go to xbox party and switch settings there. This is not really nice if u want to switch quickly.

Also since it mutes in-game chat its hard to understand if someone in-game want to talk. Since therefor u need to change your in-game settings so u get to see the talk bubble.
I can't hear u but now i can SEE u want to communicate with me.
Now i still have to change xbox party settings to actually hear u in-game. Doing this, i wont hear the xbox party anymore....

So please even if its with an option make these 2 chats co-excist.

  • It is so cool that you can hear other crew's hear in this game. But sadly lots of ppl use thirdparty chat like xbox and then this beautifull feature won't work and thats a shame. It is also verry annoying to have to get an invitation (i am on pc) into x box party chat, leave game screen, then go into x box app, and click to enter x box party, then wait few sec's to enter, then open taskbar and click to get back into game. Then press esc, to go out of esc screen, then go to options, there click settings, then click audio, there scoll to push to talk and press on. (So you don't get the annoying echo) then press esc, esc, esc. And you are back ingame.

  • I have the same issue, and my mic is set to max volume in Sea of Thieves. I sound fine in Discord and Xbox App, why is this so different. Coming from a PC perspective, it blows my mind on what is standard in PC gaming but not Xbox. In any PC game with in-game chat you can do this. The whole switching from game to party chat seems way too tedious. On my end, have Discord set to broadcast, while the game is set to push to talk. If I get double echoes from people I just mute them in game chat. From my perspective hearing both chats should be standard.

  • I really hope they do something about this because I play on Xbox and I hate how I cannot talk to my friends on Xbox party chat and talk in game at the same time. Also hot mic-ing sucks
