We can turn the resolution down to 540p to run on crummy laptops, but we can't disable resource hogs like anti aliasing and ambient occlusion, which makes no logical sense any way you slice it.
Rare, please consider giving us players more options when it comes to the graphical settings.

Anti Aliasing doesn't consume much.
I've tried. You cannot disable ambient occlusion in the Nvidia Control Panel for Sea of Thieves.
In-game ambient occlusion is tied to the "shadow" setting and AO will only turn off if you turn shadows down to Rare or Cursed.
If the devs are reading this please, I beg you, allow us to disable Ambient Occlusion. I've never liked the look of AO in any game and it's a huge resource hog.
