Hmm getting disconnected while playing and actively moving the controller seems like a bug to me (never had it happen before).

As a father of two children myself, I can understand that you will get pulled away, though the fact is that it shouldn't be up to 3 random crew mates to take up our slack.

I have proposed a solution to this in the past, which I still think is the most fair way of doing it: Add an option for voting on in closed crews to change the AFK timer.

While in a closed crew, in the ship settings, there would be an option to vote for double time AFK.
After the vote has passed, and while the crew remains closed the double time AFK would remain in effect.
If your crew then votes to change to open crew, the timer option is grayed out and gets changed automatically back to the default setting.

This allows you to team up with friends who might not mind you leaving the game to go live your life, but then doesn't affect open crew members who then have to also carry your burden.

Its not like there aren't a bunch of ways to ignore the AFK kicker already, though.
