Getting scammed out of loot

    After reading this, you may understand the level of salty that my friend and I are, we just soloed a ship battle in a sloop. We were finally able to relax and cash in on our huge jackpot. When our server changed and we get the "The Earth is Changing" and we lose all but 1 skull chest! This is super annoying and all I ask is for SOT to NOT run its auto server change Immediately after an event is completed. Not joking we beat it I re-spawn (I died from suicide bombing the captain) my friend gets on the ship with the first chest I jump off and get the message.

    I know nothing can be done now, but I'd hate for any other player to have to experience this.
    Thanks Rare, really helping us enjoy the game by changing our server randomly with no warning or confirmation!
    -Edit, we could not pick up any of the loot that we hadn't put on the ship.

    I have never soloed with a friend before ;)

    Share that this happens though. I agree there should be some measures to prevent this

    This is... shiver me timbers... those skulls... I can understand how that might be more than frustrating to say the least.

    We'd recommend submitting a ticket via Support if you haven't done so already and I'll pass this on as well as it seems to be occurring more often just recently.

    U can prevent server Merge if 1 of ur crew stay at the Island or in water while looting.

    Rare has worked on preventing merges around skull forts, so perhaps they should do the same for skelleton ships

    What if.....whenever there's a system change that COULD cause this....whatever treasure you have on your boat....automatically gets turned in as though it were turned in at an outpost.
    ~At least until RARE comes up with a legit and solid solution.~

    This would solve the problem for everyone who could be affected negatively.

    I don't know how often these issues could occur, but I totally agree that it's not the pirate's fault as there's no real strategy for preventing it.....except on Rare's end.

    It should give you a 'x' amount of time warning like it does before the servers go down for maintenance.
