    The impatience in this forum sometimes runs too high. The issue might not even have anything to do with the patch, but with the servers. It was released just yesterday, but people are already in a state of unrest.

    That's why Rare has very capable @Deckhands that supply people of information on the other channels, you only had to wait 30 minutes longer.
    I know you love complaining just to complain, but @KattTruewalker literally posted this information several posts ahead of yours.

    Yes a lot of things, including the Pioneer Programme, need to be reimagined. I feel like it is a bit early being that one day since the patch has passed. With every patch, the servers become unstable. I don't think biweekly patches are the solution. The issues will happen regardless unless they're tested with a larger group before being released to the broader audience. I also presume that will be the role of pioneers.

    The last tweet I see is about some guy who gave Merrick a bunch of chests.
    If this tweet you are showing me is buried in the comments of another tweet then I would say that’s not great communication on Rare’s part

  • @quarbani That was my case as well. I even have notifications turned on for the seaofthieves account. But because it was just a reply it both doesn't notify nor shows up on the main tweet tab.

    @MrGrim67686 I couldn't agree more. IMO the official SoT website should be the first place that any information goes and then it trickles down to twitter, facebook, discord, etc.

    @PersonalC0ffee 2 week sprints are the norm for agile software development teams. Now, the sprint does not necessarily map 1 to 1 with releases if they are using continuous delivery practices. It is possible that they are developing their features in sprints but with CD you are always supposed to have a shippable product which, with the feature toggle that they use, means they can just turn off what is being worked on in the current sprint and deploy what they have finished at any given point in time.

    I do follow twitter and there was no official tweet from Rare
    I don’t use discord
    I did do my research because when the patch dropped yesterday and I had issues I replied to multiple forum threads regarding this and submitted a support ticket
    I have always been quite patient with this game and it’s problems.
    I don’t whine about lack of content like some people and I don’t beg to be in a pioneer program like others. I just want to be able to play the game, but this was the final straw for me.
    When everyone was getting almondbeard last week Rare was super quick to respond with an official tweet

    But this time no! 24 hours after this issue the only tweets we get are about THD and someone who gave Merrick some chests.....I couldn’t care 2 hoots about him if I can’t stay in the game long enough to meet him.

    As someone else rightly posted, Rare have dug themselves a hole with this promise of a patch every week. We are in this ridiculous cycle of maintenance/patch/game broken/ maybe more maintenance......and before you know it it’s the next week and we start all over again.

    Sometimes its not just their tweets but also THEIR REPLIES that can inform you. Rare is really good about communication with its players.

  • Its not that fact you arn't on twitter or arnt't on bla bla social platform or even forums if you have an issue and think nothings happening here is 2 simple steps.

    Step1. Submit a bug/issue report to support.
    Step2. This is a hard one "GOOGLE" the issue it will show up everywhere

    "I must of seem 3-4 topics on this issue already....."

    I’ll tell you a story but i’ll Preface it by saying that I feel this black screen freezing bug isn’t affecting the majority of players based on only the handful of posts and comments on different sites compared to everybody getting almondbeard.

    I played another game (which I won’t mention) for many years all the way from alpha to full release. A minority of us were getting this bug whereby when we loaded the game our save had been deleted and we basically had to start a fresh most of the time but I loved the game so much that I kept going. This was reported multiple times on the forums and to developers but they couldn’t figure out what was causing it. This bug went on for at least a year and all they kept doing was pushing out new content and fixing other bugs....it seemed like we were being ignored. So you could say i’ve Been bitten before

    Now with all the attention on The Hungering Deep (and the bugs which may come from it) I was just a bit paranoid that this one would slip under the radar.

    That issue sounds familiar, was in an FPS by chance? I worked in a community role for a game that had a similar issue that never got resolved.

    Ha, luckily it did finally get resolved and I still play now. It was a fist person survival game
