    After watching the trailer of Hungering Deep, I think grizzled old soul Merrick should be our official storyteller. Love how he can change from a deep and serious tone to something very funny instantly.

    Other than that, we have Umbra too from the Golden Bananas quest who was a nice character too.

    He was a cool character and the vid was a nice tease. I look forward for more. I'd like to see a cast of characters though, similar to the museum of more commercials.

    He looks like my avatar a bit. He is an old man, white hair and looks like he's been at sea forever. His skin is so tan he looks like he's been cooking in the sun for a long time. I love him lol

    It really highlights how static the NPC characters currently are in SOT. Some of the Rare voiced characters are okay, but it's a pretty significant jump in quality when you actually hire voice actors for dialogue.

    NPC characters need to have more animations too.

    In the alpha and beta whenever I saw an empty camp I always thought: "oh, ok, this is where some NPC will be hanging out..."

    Think they did a great job with Merrick too. Might be a Rare Employee, they have a brummie accent.
    My favourite part was when he said he’d heard whispers of ships disappearing without a trace....first thing I thought was that will be the Almondbeard matey 😂
