I cannot speak for the other guy but I originally called the guy out because of his toxic response. In order to change the tone of these forums it is going to take the community to push back against this behavior rather than just global mods and deckhands. We have been pretty complacent in allowing this behavior to go unchecked and it is time to start doing something about it rather then just complain. If that makes me a 3 year old then so be it.
My apologies for the toxic response but it tilts me when someone responds without doing even the remotest bit of research just to downgrade a thread all he has done since he came to this thread is bring toxicity.

Yes it is, it is a personal attack which is clearly against the forum rules. It can also be considered baiting, also against forum rules. But keep on derailing the topic, which in and of itself is a bit sketchy and likely to be deleted.

I did not call what you said hateful or anything really. Just pointed out that there was no need for name calling. Like I said earlier, it is rather easy to have a conversation without resulting in name calling and insults. And it is rather easy to not get offended when someone narcs on you.

Two meanings, one of which is derogatory and considered profanity by many - your usage however was quite clear and you cannot justify it. I'm just trying to help you out so you don't get a forum ban, whether you take that advice is up to you. I don't know the guy, I'm just responding to his post which was idiotic and I based my response on that alone. I'm not being hateful, I don't wish this old man any ill will. I was simply replying to his stupid post.
You attacked the person, which is against forum rules. You can criticize their ideas or suggestions, but not the person. Also your "a****t" would be edited out as it falls into the profanity realm, and you should probably expect a reprimand from moderators on that.
Why would a*s hat be considered profanity an a*s is a donkey right? and a hat is well something that goes on your head. Donkeyhat.

Ignorance does not excuse bad behavior, any officer of the law would tell you that ignorance of the law does not excuse you from it. And don't play dumb, you knew perfectly well what you meant or you wouldn't have written it.

It's not me its everyone else, I've been insulted, attacked and hurt for who I am by people. I can take a little abuse, It's the other people in the forums that can't, This is a peaceful community and I'm trying to stop all hostility, I don't care what I'm called. I'm old, Fat and have a huge beard, I can take it lol. My point is if we allow hostility at all it will just perpetuate the cycle, We are all adults and can act accordingly
