Had a galleon pass me with ease today after I distanced myself quite a ways from them. I was on a sloop with wind right to left, full billow in my sails. They caught up and passed me easily - not gonna lose sleep but it felt very unnatural and i’ll be keeping an eye out for it.
Hoping we start to see progress in identifying and closing down these exploits.
@baconwrappedsac well considering galleons are faster with the wind that might be your probalem. sloops can outrun galleons only when going directly into the wind

At full billow, Galleons move faster than Sloops.
If you are a Sloop fleeing a Galleon go against the wind.@i-am-lost-77 Yes, I consider that accurate as well - chalked it up to being out-sailed and continued on, but something about it felt unnatural this time given the amout of distance I put between us before the chase. Oh well!
Just going to quote this from the recent top feedback points but this effect Xbox too, cross play and all
