Why are there so many trash / racist players on this game?

    Why do I encounter so many trash players, going from trolling kids to racist adults.

    So yeah 50% of the time I join a random boat I got these kids doing nothing and just standing there pulling down ankors or sails just to annoy people. They dont respond to any conversation with a mic or in chat. And also those racist USA/UK players mumbling stuff about "oh great we got a foreigner on the ship lets put him in the brig" or they just start ranting about speaking English. You'd have to jump 30 ships to actually encounter a nice group that's actually doing something serious...

    @onetoe-juba Because its 2018 and people enjoy hiding behind the anominity of the Internet.

    Report/Block move on, dont let it bother you, sticks and stones and all that. Also racism extends a little bit further then just the U.S and U.K..

    It's pretty sad but I gotta agree, however it's not just in this game, it's everywhere. We all laugh when someone falls over but I will never understand how someone finds fun in preventing or damaging someone elses fun. It's just the sad state of the world today. There are good people out there but they are definately becomer harder to find in-game. Keep trying though.

    @OneToe-JuBa: Because most humans are garbage animals that want nothing more than to hurt anything they can see. And because the game is ostensibly free right now with the 14 day gamepass trial thing, so there's effectively no one guarding the door, it's open season to do whatever you want, for free, with no consequences, and no cost.

    Hopefully once that's over and it's only people who actually bought the game there will be less incentive to act in a way that could get you banned from the thing you paid money for.

    This game is filled with s**m. Personally speaking it's been all PC players that are the toxic trash that don't want to be friendly.

    A random joined our 3 man Galleon last night and asked if we were Xbox or PC. We said Xbox and he said 'oh really, damn, well f!@$ then' and left.

    Next story....met some guys just there and tried to team up to do a fort and got called fa!@&ts, p!$sys and pretty much everything else.

    I am glad I only got this with Game Pass.

    So hyped for this game and I so love it. Just heart breaking that for every 1 good guy there are 100 s**m bags.

    @onetoe-juba well when you say uk remember UK is made up 4 countries, wales, northern ireland, scotland and england, and despite being "united lol" all 4 countries tend to hate each other for some reason lol.

    im scottish and have a hard time in some groups that are from england, had a few that started c**p as soon as they heard the scottish accent, straight away it was william wallace was this or that, throw in a couple of freedom shouts over mic etc lol.

    i just tell em to grow up that was hundreds of years ago lol

    majority of them are cool though just the occasional tool lol

    Yeah, racists everywhere. Not only on this game. Just joined a crew randomly. They birgged for they thinking i'm Polish. Here is the point, i'm not even Polish. They just racists. I reported them but I do not have any hope that they will be punished.

    @whitshisface Oh yeah bro, because there aren't a million videos on Youtube of CoD players being beyond toxic. No, it's just the PC community, totes legit #ConsolePeasantSaysWhatNow

    Luckily, I have never encountered these kind of people, and I'm not a native english speaker. I guess it also has something to do with the type of games I play.

    In most games, playing with randoms is not really such a good idea, since you have no idea what kind of players you will get and what their intentions are.

    Anyway, I suggest looking for other players in either the "looking for crew" sub forum here or other websites. If you create a thread and describe what you are looking for, I'm sure you'll find like-minded players.

    Sorry you have had a bad experience so far. Not everyone is like that, I'm American and not even slightly racist, keep your head up, and don't give up, this game is great!

    I have played with Brazilian, Japanese, Aussie, Scots, English, Canadian and American. What a wonderful thing, right? Such a great experience to play with people around the world.
    Even with everyone not speaking the same language, we still managed to have good runs and had fun. We still managed to communicate and get the job done. But people need to breathe and give it a chance. They might find they would enjoy the experience.

    OMG the elitism. This isn't CoD. Or Halo. Or LoL.

    I'm talking from personal, real experiences in Sea of Thieves.

    PC players know they have the upper hand so don't want to team up for the overall experience.

    @knifelife had a random group a few days ago it was me, guy from newcastle an irish man and a dutch guy, dutch guy just found it hilarious with all our accents, its like you couldnt get 3 further accents lol, spent 3 hours together having fun :)

    look for some groups on xbox, people with similar wants, and play with them. When you go in blind you most likely won't have fun because the ones ruining the fun have no friends and are stuck playing by themselves. Feel free to add me i play with some buddies and sometimes we need a 4th. So if you want to go dig up treasure and hit forts hmu!

    @cavemancronch Sounds like a build up to a really good joke aha! Thats the one thing i love about the UK we all have our differences, but the accents! I dont wanna sound biased but we have got the best accents!

    @knifelife defo, i love hearing a british accent and trying to figure out what area they are from in the uk, especially when you get it wrong and the person is like how dare you brush me with that area and take in good fun lol
