The Storm!!!

    Not sure if this is the right area to post, but I was hoping someone has some knowledge on how the storm works?
    After having some very interesting and unfortunate run-ins with this hazard, I began to wonder if this thing has a pattern. Does it follow the wind? Move towards areas with most players? How can you tell what direction it is moving?

    Im tempted to take the next few days I play to be a weather channel forecaster and figure out how this thing works, but if anyone has anything they wish to share I’d be grateful.

    @touchedbymalice It does NOT follow the wind, to my knowledge. or players. you can tell where its going by the cloud growth torwards where its going, its easy to see if u look for it.

    In my personal experience, it follows ME.
    Just stay away from my sloop, and you're good to go.

    Ok jokes apart:

    1. It seems to follow a mostly linear pattern with few turns.
    2. No it should not chase players, although i had a bad feeling many times he liked me.
    3. It does not move with the wind. Although i think when you get near it, it tries to move your ship inside. This is actually true in high seas, since storms creates whirlwinds.

    @nightraven12345 what do you mean cloud growth? The swirls? From what I observed those just looked like clouds seen in typhoons and hurricanes.

    @touchedbymalice Naw, you'll see black clouds spawn and stretch torwards where its goin, kinda like swirls. usually in more or a cresent formation

    @nightraven12345 I’ll have to look at that more then. I haven’t noticed anything like that, but then again most of the time I’m trying to avoid it.

    Has anyone tried to identify what the clue alludes to in the intro video? I managed to get into the center of the storm and the compass on the ship or in your hand will start spinning wildly. I think it’s a portal but haven’t cracked it yet.
