What other ( non SOT) age of sail games do you enjoy playing?
Naval action and Sid Meier's Pirates ( yes I still play it after 20 years lol) are my current favorites.
Anyone play any other similar styled games?
There is this old pirates of the carribean game that I loved to play when I was younger, it's essentially Sea of Thieves but with content and Bethesda worked on it. It's called Pirates of the carribean its from 2003, you can google it. From what I remembered, you had different ships, fun storms, fun naval combat, trading, towns.

Thats the best pirate game ever.
I love going to the loan sharks and take all the money and make everyone hate me!
Sea dogs, 100%!
A game inspired by Man of war, sea dogs and sid meiers are currently on kickstarter actually. Its first person as well and more realistic approach. :)
@ruthless4u honeslty? Black flag. I loved the naval combat, the assassin stuff I could do without the ship battles were great.
