Startup ERROR: Missing/Corrupt DLL File

    Hello guys,

    im desperately looking for help to fix my game. When i try to start it the loading screen first pops up until the error appears, saying:

    "ERROR. Missing or corrupt DLL file that is required for the game to run. This may be caused by a corrupt or incomplete instalation."
    After clicking on "Ok" the game cloeses.

    Of course i should try to reinstall the game... but the thing is i just finished the download after 11 hours (started roughly at 11 am)..
    I already tried to look fixes and restarted my PC. In addition to that do not know how to deinstall the game, since i couldn't find it under the Deinstalling Tab of Windows or CCleaner.

    Thank you for any help! :(

    @edward-wnewgate It is possible that the failure is Windows and not the game, so can you open the CMD as admin and use "sfc /scannow" command?
    That command should scan the system and repair any corrupted file.

    If that not solve your issue, I recommend that you raise a ticket to the Support.

    your antivirus may be deleting the .dll file, try turning it off and reinstalling / playing the game

    @brandonblk my antivirus (avast) has already been disabled at the time i was downloading the game

    it says (translated by me; may be inaccurate): there is a receivable system repair, that requires a restart. restart windows, and execute "sfc" again.

    gonna restart now.

    So.. in the meantime the system update has been installed now, but the game error still exists and the 2nd execution of "sfc /scannow" didnt find anything or complain about anything.
    ..guess I am forced to download another 11 hours - hopefully it works then; if not I would be so fuking damn p****d. 22 hours and not even a minute ingame xD pls kill me.

    The reinstallation fixed it. Thank god it did.

    Reinstalling the program that provides the DLL file is a very likely solution to any program specific DLL error.

    Update drivers for any hardware that might be related to the DLL error.

    Run the sfc/scannow command to replace any missing or incorrect operating system related DLL files.

    Apply any available Windows Updates.
