Sinking others boats with buckets

Yeah, it's unfortunate. Hopefully they change this in the future!

As far as I know, it seems to be rather a problem with the water depth. When really close to shore, the ship might not have a way to sink any deeper into the water. So it stays where it is and just does not sink.

@p5r3v1l The ship will move out to deeper water if it is too shallow. You just cant use buckets to fill a ship, it's like throwing water on an island.

@lonegoatknifer It does not always move out deeper, I grounded a ship and dropped anchor and then proceeded to scuttle the ship and it would not go deeper like it normally would because it could not fill with water.

Normally it does.

The problem is: When the water is not deep enough, to get the boat into the "sinking" state, it will NOT move out to deeper water but just stay in the current state. Even though water could be coming in, as the ships is held up by the shore, it does not. It is pretty much stranded.

Dont know if its a bug or a feature but it is somewhat realistic

@p5r3v1l If i hadn't played the game it's what i would expect it to do, but I thought it would always sail out because every ship I let sink close to land has always gone out to sea.
