Skellies!

  • I would like to see skeletons become more of a threat by giving them a few extra abilities:

    Climb ladders
    Walk on harpoon ropes
    Use ziplines

    It would also be really cool to see some skeletons with old, rusted harpoon guns.

    This way the skeletons could board your ship if you leave it unguarded and be ready to "greet" you when you return by using harpoon guns or using your own harpoon ropes or ship ladders to board.

    I'd also like to see throwing knives added to the Ghost Set.

    Can’t have that. Everytime they buff or a bug increases the difficulty. Players lose their minds. (Same people who complain about to much PvP)

    But I’m all for pve threats getting a shift

    It sounds like it would be really easy to "code" as all of the logic already exists for player characters.

    It would just be terrible gameplay.

  • I like that. At least let players bring the bone and blade guys on, but with a limit, since there are 2 on every fort/island

    That sounds cool for about five minutes and then it turns into pure pain. Skeletons climbing ladders and riding harpoon lines is just asking to get griefed by PvE. I’ve left my ship unguarded a thousand times and I already know when I mess up. I don’t need skeletons pulling Olympic parkour and waiting on my deck like they’re players.

    Skeletons are dumb on purpose. You see them, you deal with them, you move on. The second they start boarding ships and using harpoons, every island stop turns into babysitting your boat. That’s not tense, that’s annoying. If I’m getting boarded, it should be another crew outplaying me, not some rusty bone with a grappling hook.

    Also AI using harpoon guns would get old real fast. Imagine spawning back just to get yoinked off your own ship by a skeleton. Funny once. Infuriating forever.

    Exploration should feel risky, not exhausting. Skeletons are obstacles, not rivals. Let players be the scary ones.
