The pirate generator is terrible, besides you not being able to customize your pirate, you can't see the details of the face properly from a distance.
My suggestion is that when choosing a random pirate we have the option to move around with him, emote and zoom in to ensure that it is the pirate we want to play.
Or if it's too complex for rare they could just let players create their own pirate however they want maybe that would make up for the lack of pirate themed cosmetics in the game

That seems more complex to do. Adding a zoom feature seem to be better. Or they could just increase the camera. :P
