Long story short. I playing the game called Star Citizen. To be available on linux game requires to modify "etc/hosts" file to prevent Easy Anti Cheat from update. After failed attempt it will launch the game anyway. This is known issue and Cloud Imperium Games (the developer) knows about it and do not ban people for that.
After SoT received an update with EAC included i was not able to play. EAC could not update but launch game anyway same as Star Citizen. But after session start game disconnects me to main screen. That is absolutely viable behavior. I decided to wait thinking that this is some problem with the update cos a lot of players faced similar problem. After patch that did not helped me i decided to troubleshoot by myself.
When i remembered that i have some extra settings i thought "What a dummy i am" and removed those settings.
But eventually it was to late. I received Redbeard. After a long discussion with support team with describing the situation, attaching logs etc. They just accuse me in cheating and revoked my access to support.
Ok then loosing few years of progress is sad but the game is fun at least. I created new account but i receive Redbeard on it too. My wife also is not able to play from her account on a different machine with her own copy of the game.
I found that on some FAQ pages "Banned players will find our enforcement action more stringent, and these bans may also be extended to other users in the same household"
I just want to say that such behavior when EAC cannot update is common situation when customer has poor network connection. So what they need to be banned?
My situation may be considered as "cheating" only if person who make such decisions has serious brainrotting issue. So my ban is a spit on a customer face. With such politics game will loose a lot of players.
