I've said it once and I'll say it again.... END SUPPORT FOR OLDER XBOX CONSOLES. Lol
Let’s talk about the GDK update
I crashed 38 times during community weekend
I would have stopped at 37. But then there's that old saying, "39th time's the charm," so I totally get it...
Honestly though, the patience some of y'all have with this game is bewildering lol.
@bullelkbucky
The game supports PCs with lower specs than the original XB1, plus the machine you play on really has nothing to do with server performance.@bullelkbucky said in Let’s talk about the GDK update:

And I will say it again, older system support is NOT causing the server issues as the servers do not care what the client is and minimum PC specs are MUCH lower than the OG Xbox One. But keep letting others know of your ignorance on the subject.
@dlchief58 There is a right and wrong way to speak to others and brother you obviously show your own ignorance in that subject...
Since you know more on the subject, I would greatly appreciate if you would enlighten me on what exactly is causing the server instability issues? Please be specific.

While he could have worded it better, he is correct. Here is Drew Stevens, SOT Production Director, commenting the exact same thing on reddit:

I don't know how many times I have to say it, but older generation Consoles and Lower Spec PC have no impact on Server Performance! The servers don't really care what the spec of clients are connected, only the quantity of them.

This is how you handle it. I appreciate you greatly @D3ADST1CK.
@fast-420 a dit dans Let’s talk about the GDK update :
@tesiccl I can't even start a ship on my own I have to either wait for a friend to get on or get someone in the lfg to invite me. I can get as far as the Season 11 title screen if I press any button as instructed 8 seconds later I'm in the Xbox dashboard with nobeard error.
Same problem for me since couple days. Cant even reach the Play screen and it crash, before sending me to dashboard. If nobody's online in my FL, i cant even imagine playing solo because nothing is reachable. And all of this without any single error message.
Rare has to do something and really quick, this issue has been reported since february 22, and still nothing from them...

This problem is happening on the newest Xbox consoles. Eliminating old generation consoles won’t fix the problem.
UPDATE
Workaround for dashboarding issues posted in:
This seems to be helping players, including me, so try it out.

At first I gained improved performance but I updated my graphics driver yesterday to latest one (nvidia) and now I get the game freezing randomly. Now community weekend has finished I'll try again. I've heard others saying they have textures missing after the GDK update.
I played Monday evening, was forced the need to turn up textures to Legendary, anything lower and there was a massive drop in textures. It used to be cursed/common where that happened iirc.
Have also seen the small stutters/freezes, but I tested and they occur in both 11 and 12, and don't know if it's cpu or gpu related
