I understand that the sea dogs will never return and I am still saddened by this news every waking day to every waking month but I have a solution for those who will want to have it back and maybe be remixed into a new set of PvP that could be different from war on the seas and could do with the memory of the Norse set of pirates that were as ancient as the well “ancients” and this could solve a new lore problem that a lot of people seem to keep saying is happening. So imaging this a Viking chief who is best friends with the now deceased Demarco comes to the sea of thieves in a attempt to rebuild the sea dogs tavern his friend had built that was forgotten for so long now by the pirates of sea of thieves. But one thing is notable about this Viking, he isn’t a big fan of war and when he learns a new war is on the horizon with Ramsey and Flameheart, he thinks of a way to calm down the tension and the way he does it is by having a relic that both the Ghosts of Athena and the Reapers of bone want and claims that the only way to win it is to win his games in order to get it and if ur thinking (why can’t they steal it it is part of the pirates life) they can’t because it is enchanted with a spell!
How do u play the games?
Go to the hourglass that is used for standard PVP, there will be a Raven on top with a letter in it’s beak a animation will play telling our pirates they are able to join the “Northern Games” because the Vikings lived in the northern part of the world in Norway (anyway) now that you have read the letter he claims the raven is yours, now this raven has eyes and scars with the glowing colors of the faction u are sworn in as from the PVP factions to the common trading companies which wanted their own teams to try to show who is better among the sea of theives but mostly lore wise it is Ghost vs Reapers again. Anyway once u have selected ur company u are taken to 2-3 game modes
Racing:
Racing is not that common in the sea of thieves but if it were implemented it would be a fun edition considering the few times I tried this with hourglass players is the one fun thing aside from killing each other (originally we did it by swapping boats and the boat that explodes outside of the boundary wins) but in this a few rules and enchantments were made,
any damage u take won’t sink ur ship however these holes will instead slow down the ship if damage is taken
U cannot leave the boundary of ur ship, which means no boarding and sabotaging other ships
There will be usable “power-ups” that could be used to slow down opponents
Scavenger hunt:
The chief takes u to his home town of raven village where ur goal is simple, find a gather a set of treasure and put it in ur circle in a specific time frame to win, U cannot kill enemy opponents however u and the opponents can do this to slow each other down:
U can steal loot from their circles
U can trap curtain pieces with the grog effect, poison effect, or even a new blind effect
(Possible game mode) remixed sea dogs arena:
I know I said I am saddened when I said I missed sea dogs but come on I HAD to add this because this could help bring back og sea dog fans and make things different. So lore wise the war chief gives the final game to the ghost Demarco who decides the final game it a classic remix of his arena, he has made it where u and 2 other boats fight 3 other ships to the death fighting for ur faction ghost or reapers and here are some things u should know:
These ships will be the same like all sloops, all brigs, all galleons. I don’t like unfair fights and I feel it would balance some things.
The locations are in snowy locations so areas not familiar to the OG sot fan
Finally In the end u earn a free ship set and costume for the amount of times u have beaten the arena for a specific faction however they are known as “Ghostly Raven” and “Bony Raven” with color scenes similar to the faction (and no this isn’t to make a ship set I want into the game because IRONICALLY I have a logo on my account this is just a idea)
In the end this doesn’t change anything YET, I don’t know what will happen because if rare was to implement this it should be both their and our decision of what happens if a specific faction won. Anyway this idea was made for fun, not to be implemented if the community isn’t a big fan. I don’t mind getting some backlash from this but if u like the idea I am glad anyway thanks for reading all of this
