Anyone seen any fruit crate or keg quests from barrels? Been playing a lot again lately and i get a bunch of quests from barrels, but none of them are for kegs or crates.
I have a million commendations to go still but whenever i play i tend to chip away at them, one day years from now i might have 100% achievements. But with these not appearing at all i can't do much about those commendations.
It just so happens I am also currently working on completing bottle quest voyages/merchant commendations.
What I’ve discovered is that although cannonball, fruit, wood and gunpowder barrel bottle quest voyages can still be found in random barrels…
As of Season 9 they have become harder to find out in the world because you can now find bottle quest cargo voyages in addition to the traditional bounty, x marks the spot and riddle voyages.
You may even be able to find bottle quest animal voyages now I’m not 100% for certain though.
So now the cannonball, fruit and wood crate bottle quest voyages are slightly more rare to find out in the world which is really annoying tbh.
Anyway, if you’re trying to complete the commendation for delivering 100 gunpowder barrels you can just buy the max amount of animal voyages from the merchant themselves not captain voyages and keep voting and canceling them until you find one that asks you to deliver several gpb all the way up to a max of 8.

Had two crate voyages and one gun barrel voyage yesterday in a 2.5 hour or thereabouts session, so they still are around. Also had 4 OoS and a riddle though.
Good to know they are still appearing somewhat, guess i got unlucky not finding any. But yeah now that the pool of barrel quests is bigger, this commendation will now take even longer to do. Even if you find them you can't always complete them if you are playing with a crew and are focussed on other things they want to do. Would love to be able to buy these fruit/wood crate quests in the future to have some control over being able to do them consistently.
@hefty-henri had a fruit crate one today. They're def rare. For kegs you can just use merchant missions
