Shroudbreaker...

  • So I'm starting Shroudbreaker and find the Island and begin searching for medallions for the altar... along comes a player and destroys my ship, who cares, big woop as I'm currently busy and there's nothing of worth on it... they then conti up to hunt me down on the island but as I hadn't got anything of value all they did was stop my progress in the game .... So what's the actual point of trying to play it when you can't even complete a basic campaign due to other rather pointless players. What a stupid game mechanic, I managed to do the Pirates life campaign but seemingly the rest of the game is pointless. I'll u install the game and now wait for skull and bones where they have an actual server for silly disruptive gamers.

  • If that's what you think is best, good luck and take care of yourself

you are capable of overcoming an unfortunate random interaction and completing the mission even with the interference this time. Hopefully you decide to try again. You'll do great.

  • I have one tip for you in the future:

Actually look at a game before buying it and you won't waste your money.

Going into games completely blind and then it's not what you expect doesn't mean you can then complain like it's a bad game, you weren't prepared for a PvPvE experience that's all.

If you do decide to give the game another shot, don't get too attached to your loot and you'll have a much better time

  • @dromacles One of the issues is that you keep calling the Tall Tales as campaigns and that is a typical single gamer mentality. Everything is interconnected in SoT and discovering its lore is done in the typical fashion of an online session.

  • @dromacles Yea its weird how some peoples goal is just to ruin other peoples run instead of simply trying to steal your stuff. Some people get mad if you didnt have anything to steal so you "wasted their time" they are the ones making that choice not you. It is possible they were on a voyage and just wanted you out of the way.

Tall tales are super unrewarding to complete. Honestly a prime example of why the need PvE servers. They have a load of content now that is more suited for either single player or friendly servers but they insist on their PvE minded players sticking to their negative play space.

I will admit there wouldnt be as much loot to steal if all the PvP try hards were just sailing around trying to sneak on each others boats while they are all just sailing around looking for PvErs to hunt. Would be a hilarious waste of their time though and let them know what its like to be someone trying to grind PvE just to make no progress because you keep getting attacked. However I still think a risk vs reward system would be perfect in this case. 4x the value of loot on the current adventure mode and 1/4 the value for pve mode that way sure you can have a safe place to play but it will take you 8x longer to rep up and make gold than it would if you played the proper way

  • Checkpoints.

    That is all.
