I'm sure this idea has been brought up countless times, so some one let me know if Rare have stated their stance on this.
I think the ability to make a 2nd pirate would be a good addition to the game for those who'd like to try a different looking pirate but are too attached to their current one to delete it or use a potion. For example, lately I've found myself wanting to make a female pirate for cosmetic purposes, but I also like my current Male pirate too much to part with him. The only option this leaves me with is using a 2nd Xbox profile, which would mean losing out on any limited time and (more importantly) emporium cosmetics I own.
My suggestion is allowing players to make a 2nd pirate, with progression NOT carrying over from the 1st one. The only thing pirates 1 and 2 would share would be any paid cosmetics the player owns. I could understand limited time stuff not being shared.
The ability to make a 2nd pirate would give players more freedom when it comes to customization, as it would allow them to try out different body types, faces, and gender without having to part with their current pirate. It would also allow any longtime players to start from scratch with progression while
keeping their original pirate they've put countless hours into.
