Well... When I saw the trailer during the showcase I couldn't believe my eyes! Was I dreaming? No! Rare partnering with Disney to bring Pirates of the Caribbean to the Sea of Thieves, "Wonderful" These types of partnerships, if they're themed and done right, can offer a lot. That's why I thought that in the future it would be great to have other collaborations, maybe again with Disney to bring Captain Hook and Peter Pan ?! What do you think? Personally I can't wait to play this new story, hoping that many of these places, like the sea of the damned, will always be explorable! Congratulations to you Rare, great job!
More collaborations after Pirates of the Caribbean - Captain Hook?!
I do not think a Peter Pan crossover makes as much sense. SoT and PotC follow the same sort of pirate lore with a darker supernatural and sea monster themes. The suspension of disbelief is there so they could fit in the same universe.
Peter pan? not so much. you have a magic fairy that sprinkles dust on kids and they fly off to a magic world from england where they don't have to grow up, and their only enemy is a crocodile and bumbling crew of pirates. which all takes place in neverland. I dunno.
I'd be really disappointed if we had more Disney crossovers, especially if we broke into the animated IPs of Disney. I'm already on the cringe side of the fence with the potc crossover, but I'm willing to give it a chance because I do love potc. I'd rather see the lore of sot expanded instead of crossovers.

rare could do there own peter pan tall tale
If they kept crossovers just tall tale type of experiences and they didn't negatively affect the environment or change what we have going here with gameplay and lore I don't really care and don't have a negative opinion about it. I like that people that do get excited about that stuff can come in and have a good time. I'm not too worried about it happening too often as it seems to have taken years for Rare to pull this one off and in general things happen slow here and I think rare Rare collabs would be the appropriate speed and frequency.
I do think they should wrap up the lore they already have before anything else to appease that crowd which I would assume will happen.
If I had to lean one way or another I'd stop at PoTC.
It's the one thing the most amount of people think about when they came to play this game. It's serving the largest portion of the crossover loving pirate participants. It was a big deal it took a long time and it will serve a lot of people. I don't think we have to keep going we can just enjoy it and get back to our own fantasy world.I think we could see some Disney themed cosmetics ( little mermaid, Peter pan) but idk if they would add anything significant. I feel like we'll get the potc crossover for season three, and then go back to sea of thieves lore for season 4 onward. Im very excited for this crossover however as I grew up loving pirates of the Caribbean (at least the first three) and sea of thieves is one of my favourite games :)

As disney now owns monkey island I'd love to see some of that come to the game! End of the second game lechuck tries to send guybrush to another dimension with his voodoo doll which is an easy way to tie the worlds together. Portal through to see melee, scabb, phatt, booty and monkey Islands with lechuck on the loose would be amazing. Also THREE HEADED MONKEY PET
