I could use some help trying to play on Xbox and PC at the same time, explained to me like I'm a child

    I have Xbox and gamepass and started w/ the game exclusively on Xbox.

    A couple of years ago my brother is in town for a weekend, so to play it together, and because I'd already logged a ton of hours for "free" via gamepass, I bought a copy of the game on my PC via the microsoft store, and then we played together, me on PC and him on my xbox.

    A few months ago, I figured out how to link my PC to my gamepass account (upgraded to PC gamepass or whatever its called?) and that way I could play with my same character as the xbox itself, who a PL legend and has fancy clothes etc

    Now my son is old enough that I'd like to be able to play with him using the same set up, but I can't figure out how to make it work. On Xbox, it has to be logged onto Xbox live, I presume. For PC... it tries to log on to the same account and then yells at me for already being logged in somewhere else. I don't see a way to disengage my PC account from XBox live and use the digital copy I purchased two years ago or whatever it was, with the level 15 pirate or whoever is left in there.

    Any suggestions for how to do this? I have googled this and seen similar explanations on this forum and I can't follow them.

    One click clarification - if there's another solution that might work, I'm open to whatever.

    Would it be possible to add another user to my xbox live account or something like that for my son?

    @cdsix yes you can add additional gamertags to your Xbox.

    If you press the middle 'Xbox' button on your controller and scroll all the way over to your Avatar/Gamerpic (on the right), there should be an option to 'Add or Switch':

    There, you should be able to add or create a new account.

    To be able to use your account on PC at the same time, you would also need to SIGN OUT of it on that same menu. Just switching or logging into a different one will result in being told you are still logged in on another device.

    Your MAIN Account - The one that subscribes to Game Pass Ultimate.

    Go to the Xbox.Com, Log into that account and add 2-3 (or more) Family Members. It’s free!

    Now, in your XBOX System, Log in with your main Account and make it his “Home System”.

    Now, download the Family member accounts On to that Xbox (switch/add user).

    This is also the part where you will be prompted to choose Gamer Tags for the Family Members.

    Any of those accounts you download to the Home system have unlimited access to everything you own at anytime on that system!

    Not just Games, services like XBOX Game Pass.

    Now, on the PC. There are TWO Logins!

    Log in as one of the new Family Members you created.

    Now, click the Picture of the Account and then click like settings or details or something like that.

    You will see in Little tiny writing User Account and Store Account.

    Log into the STORE Account as your MAIN User (The one that subscribes).

    Anyone of your family members now have Unlimited Access to the Main Users stuff on the PC.

    That’s it.

    Be sure to send Friend Requests between all the New Accounts/Family members you added.
