Not sure how I always end up being the "rumors" guy. I guess being a "tale whisperer" has its perks, or maybe I'm just gullible and believe or want to believe everything I hear.
I was telling random people I met on the seas that if they implemented an ice biome, with seas that froze over for x amount of time, or glaciers that resembled volcanoes: releasing a fog signaling that the water would freeze soon. I was quickly told that I am not the first one to suggest this and that apparently it was already confirmed that it's happening?
However, upon investigation, all I stumbled upon was a post by Captain Falcore two years ago talking about the Frozen Fangs hypothetical DLC.
But I know this is probably not going to happen based on my single opinion. If there were an ice biome, people would say "But it's not fair, if you're on a sloop and the ice freezes how is it fair that a Galleon can simply run to you and rob you over the ice"
Simple:
- What is the difference? If your mast gets hit by a volcanic rock and immediately breaks you are a sitting duck anyways.
- The purpose of biomes are to be OPTIONAL to go into for extra XP or Gold. No one is forcing you in there.
- The structure of the game is based on wanting you to play with friends thus it is your fault kinda if you're playing solo and a Galleon over takes you via running towards you on ice.
Please upvote if you want an ice biome, or reply with reasons you hate everything I said and want the game to stay the same and never update again.
