Hi!
Today we had the situation with my 3 friends, where we were doing Fort of the Damned, fighting 3 ships, we spent about 2 hours to get the loot. When we sunk all enemies we ended the Fort. After killing the Graymorrows Ghost we took the key to our galleon to fight one last brig which was attacking us. We sunk them near Stephen Spoils, took their loot and when we were coming back to the Fort to open it and take our well-deserved loot... the server changed. :( We lost all the loot and got only key to open the empty Fort. We didn't even got the commendation for completing the Fort. Please, Rare, how is it possible? Errors like this make people turn away from this game... Is it possible to fix this?

@mad-jan-bz in the future if this happens, keep the key if you can’t see the reaper chests in the vault on your map table. Go buy a skull stash voyage or get a ritual skull another way and start up the fort. Use the key and load up the loot then head out without having to finish the fort. A temporary solution but one my crew have used before.

You can also peer between the boards to see if the loot is still there. Don't ever open a vault without checking to see that the loot is still there. This issue also plagues regular forts, but it stings less when you waste one of those keys.
@MaD-Jan-BZ : It's too bad that this happened to you, but I'm sure you'll agree that this is a lesson you learn after a single occurrence. Hopefully, your post will save someone else from experiencing this issue.
