Transferring items between accounts

    I began playing sea of thieves in the first month after it's initial launch with no real tutorial and a character selection far from something I was happy with.

    After a lot of hours sunk into the game and after reaching Athena level 10 I grew a little bored of this pirate but I didn't want to lose all the items I had earned. After creating a new account to get a better pirate and sinking a lot of time and effort into once again achieving pirate legend but also gaining items I couldn't simply transfer I got a bit sad, I was hoping for this anniversary I could at least earn the pirate legend anniversary items but sadly no.

    I wish for Rare to give an option to transfer items across to another account even if it means they're entirely removed from the account they were first so that players who made new accounts for reasons like mine can enjoy all the limited time cosmetics we earned on the account we not actively use and will continue using.

    you got a pirate appearance potion, use it

    I see what you mean, but it would feed into easy account selling, and would give you a way to reroll your pirate for free, and give yourself a free name change.

    The systems in place now with the ~10$ name change, and the 2$ appearance change will likely remain as the only option.

    There's a reason virtually every game in existence prevents this sort of thing... It could be so easily abused and manipulated.

    You were impatient, and didn't wait for the appearance change feature they promised... And as a result, you ended up with 2 accounts having none of what you wanted.

    Perhaps you should've just stuck with your original account, and waited patiently for promised features like everyone else? :P

    If you did that, you'd have everything you wanted by now. xD

    @sweltering-nick They had never announced the appearance potion or anything of the nature at the start last year, so the only options were start again with a new pirate, create a new account or put up with something you dont like for the sake of everything you've earned.

    Yes they did, they said multiple times during the first dev updates, first time they said that they were working on a way for you to change your pirate, and how to implement it... Second time they mentioned some kind of in-game shop and that this feature would be available from there, and that they were still debating what price the service would have... Third time they announced it was coming in a specific update, and fourth time they announced it was available from the pirate emporium.

    You clearly weren't paying attention, seeing as you were too impatient to pay attention. -.-'
