I just sank someone on SoT and received a series of messages.
Just to clarify all we did was sink him, we didn't keep spawn killing him we just sank him. Can i actually get banned for being a pirate?

I was with @Travis354 too it's a stupid why are we getting reported for sinking someone on a pirate game??

Sinking ships is totally within the theme of the game and not a bannable offence... as long as you weren't toxic you will be fine!
No. You are fine. A lot of players think being attacked is griefing. Its not. You did what you were suppose to. If you see that player in the future sink'em again.
Edit - If he didn't block you I would have sent him updates every few hours asking him when the ban was coming. Sending him clips of other ships you sank or robbed.
I started doing that about 2 months ago. I was getting mad from all the hate messages and all the threats of ban for playing the game how i want with my friends. So anyone who threatens us gets a inbox full of vids of us sinking ships for the next few days. We are nice about it and we stop the second they as us to leave them alone but still its funny when they go mad and start really going off the deep end. I wasn't always like this I swear, but when people keep threatening you for having fun your way you get mad.
Nah, but in the future I would recommend not even replying to the messages. It never leads anywhere useful.

As others have said, so long as you were not toxic in game, did not use open mic and spew offensive language or insults, and as long as there were no other forms of messages that you did not share, then you should be fine.
I might have ignored their message though. Rather than reply with a simple "Pirate", which we all know sets people off. Responding to them only allows for drama to unfold, IMHO.

@travis354 dont worry about it, i have been reported so many times ranging from being accused of cheating to being toxic/griefing.
Its a pirates life for me, alliances are not my cup of tea and chuckly when another ships comes rolling in screaming “lets form an alliance” whilst our cannonballs are flying in their general direction and subsequently sinking them.

He was using the same tired excuses to bait the other guy and then came on forum to gloat.
It's not big and certainly not clever.i'm not saying it is if you read it and you have the guy in red didn't get it was a pirate game
