Ship Wrecks!

  • I love the wrecks, I love the treasure in the wrecks, I love the fish in the wrecks so I dont have to fish lol But why? Who sunk them? Where did they go? Maybe...they didn't leave!

My suggestion is to make rare encounters around sunken ships! The chance for a skelle ship, meg or kraken to show up as you roll up to a sunken ship!

It would add more loot to what your getting, would make the seas slightly more hectic, and add some story to why the ship sunk in the first place!

Also a chance to find a mission on the captains table in the sunken ships with high end loot! Similar to skelle captains that drop orders..these would be the final act of the crew before they met their end! With a treasure map to reapers, captains, weeping or grog chests!

  • I'd like to see sunken skeletons in the shipwreck. They'd lie dormant until you got close enough or until you turned your back. Also really like the idea that sunken ships can have voyages on them. It just makes sense.

  • @mferr11

I was thinking that too! But so far they are holding to a strict rule of no swimming for skelle so I wasnt sure if that was doable lol but hec k yea! Toss a few skelle in the wreck. Make em a special skelle. Use those coral ones from the tall tale that were only used once!

  • From the art book. Make some shipwrecks spawn closer to the surface and boom. No underwater skeletons.

  • We always check for survivors so we can bring them to a outpost else we try to save some off there lost belongings and turn those in so hopefully they find their way back to the rightfull owners 🤷‍♂️

  • Still waiting for sloop and brigantine shipwrecks...

  • @galactic-geek

Ohhhh sloops crashed near islands would be cool! Have a way where the loot washes Ashore right next to maybe?

I suggested random encounters near sunken ships too lol if that happens then more encounters sounds like a win to me!

  • @mferr11

Beached shipwrecks would be cool! The problem I think is that built in algorithm that throws the boat or makes it disappear if it gets stuck lol if they overcome that I'm all for it!

OH! How about...precrashed boats..so they dont move..like the one on shipwreck that's fully beached. That become "active" like forts sometimes and spawn skelle and randomly will have loot in them? 🤔

  • @tubiansayne A lot of those pre-determined shipwrecks that you find beached upon islands oftentimes already have randomly-placed loot in and around them.

    🎵
Take a look, it's in a nook, breathing water!
    🎵

(to the tune of Reading Rainbow just in case you're too young to get the reference - look it up!)

  • No to a meg or meg or kraken, this game is already a pain with them around. when u have lots of loot it feels like that's when everything begins to activate. I like the idea of shipwreck on a beach with perhaps some enemies around. perhaps a fort with a ship wreck instead of a core tower would be interesting

  • I always thought the shipwreck being a skeleton ship would be nice. A skeleton flock of birds circles it, and if you get too close, with players or the ship, its lights activate and it surfaces to attack. A shipwreck with a kraken ink cloud around it would be interesting, so you can see it and sail in for a kraken battle (the kraken being at galleon difficulty, since you have to choose to fight it) or steer clear if you don't want the fight.

  • I like the Lore I gave them

For every sunken ship I come across, was once a player ship somewhere in the sea that just happen to appear.

    That it, easy.

  • @galactic-geek

I'm 33 lol I know reading rainbow lol
And thank for getting it stuck in my head right before bed lol

  • @red0demon0

Kraken is def the biggest pain I agree there. It may not be so bad if you didnt kill it and it drops one crate of rare tea 🤣

  • @ultmateragnarok

Yes! That would be fine!!! Roll up and hear the music and the horn and you know you just messed up! Ha ha

  • Bring it on, up the ante I say!

Add some evil mermaids to that, sprinkle in some carnivorous fish and you have yourselves an event for the ages!

    What’d ya say?

  • @baconwrappedsac

Anything to add more to the game and have more battles in the sea is fine with me!

I was in a suggestion earlier this month talking about sirens (evil mermaids) that can do the boss pushback and smack your boat around ha ha

    BRING ON ALL THE THINGS!

  • I'm not sure about the mobs hanging around as, once a ships been sunk the meg/kraken/skellie ships don't hang around anyway.

But the idea of finding a quest on the captains table is fantastic.
And the coral skellies from the tall tale would be a perfect addition. but i wouldn't make them swim, just walk along as if on land. I understand this might not be possible with the ships that are vertical or upside down. But where there's a will there's a way. (i hope :S)
I'm thinking like Barbossa's crew walking along the seabed.

  • @dreadpirate9200

Your right they most likely wouldnt hang around I am just trying to find ways to make the sea more hectic! I'm to the point now where I'm basically swatting things away like a fly lol skelle and meg are a minor annoyance now. Being in a shipwreck and suddenly a meg gets triggered...sharks are everywhere and your freaking out swimming back to your boat before the meg bites! I could get on board for that!

  • A shipwreck is a random encounter just like the rest - I say leave it as is and see if another appears nearby naturally.

I personally would hate to die automatically by drowning down in the shipwreck because the water turned black with ink and I couldn't find my way out.

The voyage on the table idea is a fine 1, though, as is having Reed skellies walking along and inside the ship, even when it's at odd angles (I think that would actually be pretty cool).
