I'm honestly at a loss here. Been back a week, and having this issue. I went on break from the game just before Arena was launched, and aside from a momentary spike back then, the game ran smooth on Legendary. Now, after reinstalling last week, I'm getting constant drops in FPS, from 90 to 3, and spikes in Ping, from 60 - 700, every few seconds. If I stay in an area for a few minutes, it evens out, but when I start moving, it comes right back. I've played around with my settings, dropping to the lowest and a mix of inbetween, to no avail. Even locking in to 30 fps does nothing. My hardware hasn't changed in over a year, and my software/drivers are all up to date. This is the only game I own that is causing me issues, and I'm at a loss of what to do.
Having FPS/Ping issues
@ghost-of-rhyza A friend of mine has that same problem. He used to be able to handle the game at legendary graphics but now he gets a constant 30/50 fps on all cursed graphics with 185/1000 ping after he reinstalled the game. I dont know how to fix it but kinda good to know hes not the only one with this problem.
@ninjashadow2 Glad to know I'm not alone. I just can't figure out what's changed. Redownloaded the game today, just in case, and still having the same issue.
@ghost-of-rhyza My PC I was using a week or so ago was doing the FPS stuttering. I was running at about 70-80 fps pretty consistently, but after a couple hours would begin to stutter down to 5-10 every 30 seconds or so. This would last until I restarted the game. My ping never fluctuated though, it was always stable.
I recently got a new PC last week, and have had zero issues with FPS stability, which makes me think it was a hardware/software issue on my end. Who knows though, with the ping issues for you it could be server side.
@daddy-sanctus I hope this doesn't necessitate a new rig. Mines only a little over a year old. I meet all the requirements, and again, no issues with any other games. I'll keep plugging away at it, maybe something will click.
