So after all the time I've been playing, I've been thinking about what I'd like to see, and the one main thing is some kind of massive social event, which could be a expansion upon the already existing festival of giving, with it taking place around christmas, valentines, or some other charity week that could fit well for when this event takes place on a yearly basis
My idea is that the main theme of the event will be socialising and gifting, but actully done by multiple different crews in game, on the map there could be a circle that sometimes appears for about half an hour or so randomly, it could happen when there are no other world events currently taking place, this would be so that no crews are somewhere else, and the reason why it lasts so long is so that other crews from quite far away should be able to just about reach the area in time, and the circular like area could be huge, but yeah since its in one place, you should be able to see other ships on the horizon at least within this area, and also a good bonus is that if you are in this area, then you are unkillable/unsinkable so no one will be able to grief this event
So yea in this area, crews will meet each other and socialize friendly, and they could give each other gifts or trades of any loot that they already have, and maybe before the event becomes a thing, make it so that when you're in game, you can send a friend request to a random pirate in game on the xbox app or steam easier, so you'll have them on you're friends list and be able to chat and join them whenever, gifting each other won't be reqiuired, but rather the main focus would be a lot more around the community and people socalising and talking to each other and making friends
I would really like to make friends with random people in this game, and having an event like this could help in that way and also help any others with the same wishes, I play the game at a slow and chill pace with often doing random stuff like playing music and having constant grog, hell I'd even be down to do roleplays with exagurrated accents with other pirates, and yeah an event like this could help bring together pirates of different backgrounds and ways they play and stuff they like, so someone would have way more of a chance to become friends with someone who's like them within this event, and yea having this take place in an area could mean that it would be like a big party with constant grog and music playing and otherwise have really fun and chill vibes, I really like the artwork for 2024's festival of giving, and I feel like having an event like this could really fit that big community giving feeling more, and yea otherwise it would be an amazing way to meet new people and interact with them
