I know it's a bit conspiratorial, but I can't help but wonder if hit reg is broken on purpose. Rare has already sacrificed game play in exchange for skill gap compression. It's a great and subtle way of adding chance to every battle. In addition hit reg has gotten worse with time. Why would it get worse? Shouldn't it be getting better as Rare adresses it? In addition, Rare has, at least to my knowledge, refused to acknowledge the issue. Sonic Bob has no doubt seen many of the Reddit posts. I can't help but wonder...

You should, they are talking about this every single week and explaining how and what they are doing do solve issues and provide a better gameplay experience to the players.
If I'm not mistaken a couple of weeks Joe said they already start testing it with the Insiders.

They've made no progress, the hit reg is the worst I have ever seen in any game, and this includes free shooters like Iron Sight
I don’t ever remember it being “accurate”.
Since launch I never under stood the Person to Person PVP and the epeen associated with it.
The person to Person PVP in this game has always been similar to that of Minecraft or Roblox but people act like it has the accuracy of CS Go.
Now the ship to ship PVP, that’s where it’s at!
