I've tried to fish twice and both times it broke. First time I put a fish on the stove and I couldn't pick it back up. No x prompt. Then I caught another fish and I couldn't take it off the hook, so I threw it back. Then the same thing happened with the next fish. No x button prompt. Major problem needs fixing ASAP cause you literally cannot catch and cook fish a lot.
Bad glitches while fishing
@tedakin I've got the fishing pole glitch myself on multiple occasions.
You can switch to another item, such as your lantern, and back to your pole. The fish will still be there. Try to grab it again. If it still doesn't work, switch to another item and change locations on your ship. Go up or down some stairs, the switch back to your pole and try to grab it there.
It seems like it might glitch when the game tries to decide which interaction menu to show you. Such as if you are close to a barrel and have the fish out.
Was your food inventory full when you tried to take the fish from the hook or stove? If so you can’t take it. I thought it was bugged to until I noticed through my solo play habit of being constantly paranoid and having max bananas at all times I’d find my self hitting that food barrel before doing anything. Therefor I noticed I’d have full inventory of food items and couldn’t take the fish.

Was it seriously that your food inventory was full?
I seem to remember getting an error message on PC when my inventory was full.

When I received this glitch the take fish loading circle was repeatedly restarting. Not simply just not appearing.
@imsouplul21 some foods take longer to cook (kraken, meg and trophy fish meat for example)
However this was a 10 month old thread and according to forum rules ressurecting a 10 month old thread is not allowed.
