Improve Drunkenness Features

  • Getting drunk in this game is fun, but it's really basic and doesn't offer much. What if it did? Here is what I suggest...

    Features

    • There should be four phases of being drunk and each phase should provide a different buff or debuff.
    • These phases don't automatically occur as they do now, you need to wait a big longer to feel the effect.
    • Add rum, which hits you much harder than grog.
    • Drinking too many cups of alcohol too fast, will make you vomit, losing the drunkenness that you could of obtained if you drank it more slowly.
    • After a specific drunkenness phase wears off, players will get a hangover.
    • A hangover will cause a player to have increased damage taken, distortion, and reduced speed.
    • In order to cure the drunkenness effect or hangover players will have to sleep on a bed.
    • Players will be able to pick up passed out players and throw them on a bed to help them cure their effect.

    Distortion: Medium
    Mobility Balance: Medium
    Damage Taken Reduction: Medium
    Occasional Affects: Vomit
    Causes Hangover: Yes

    Hammered
    Distortion: High
    Mobility Balance: High
    Damage Taken Reduction: High
    Occasional Affects: Vomit, black screen, pass out
    Causes Hangover: Yes

  • Love this idea... Maybe if you got a black screen you could wake up back on the ship or on part of the island where you were docked with a heavy head and blurred vision for a short time simulating a hang over

    Having a hangover would be funny. Would be awesome if you could trip over stuff, fall on the ground, black out, and all of that fun stuff. Imagine your crew member having to pick you up and take you to a bed to clear your drunkenness effect or cure a hangover. Or we can also have food that curse a hangover, like coffee, lol. Lots of opportunities, I'll add to this.

  • @trenix90 I like the idea they could even do drunk versions of emotes as well

  • Every time you get drunk in the game, take a shot/slam a beer IRL.

  • Maybe If you black out, you could wake up in a hilariously random spot to show that you went on some wild adventure while super drunk.

    For example: a player wakes up from a night of drinking, he/she could wake up on a rowboat in the middle of the sea with a bunch of chickens on board.

    This should only happen occasionally, and when there are no other players nearby (so you don't see an unconscious pirate randomly teleport).
