Kraken Loot Drop

  • The loot drops per tentacle kill. This is a terrible choice for loot delivery because loot doesn't last long in the water and it is not a good idea to have 1 person in a rowboat out in the water (and they too can get sucked into a tentacle if they are on the rowboat).

    Loot should drop at the end of the kill.

  • @lord-szarvas I agree. we tried to row boat the loot and you can swim faster than the rowboat can move. It was very difficult to locate the loot that was still floating at the end of the kill.

  • Totally agree. Make it almost impossible to get all of the loot from it.

  • Not only is it impossible to obtain the dropped loot mid-fight and the loot doesn't float for long enough. I feel the actual encounter gets drawn out too much by the constant overpowered attacks from the Kraken. Yes, this is meant to present a challenge but not be impossible. At one point, we had three people on repairs; one patching holes and two bailing water. This leads to nobody being available to actually fight the Kraken or fend it off when it wraps the ship. Also, in one encounter, we had the Kraken and Megaladon spawn and we were lucky a skeleton ship didn't attack us as well.

  • Yeah, I think the current set up for the kraken treasure/reward isn't working well.

    Either:

    Keep as is, but make sure that loot floats much, much, much longer.

    Make loot only drop after the kraken is entirely defeated.

    Or keep the normal treasure rewards per tentacle (as is) PLUS a special kraken-specific drop at the very end of defeating it.
