About the skeleton key

  • I have a proposal for the skeleton key:
    1.the key cant leave the island.
    2.the key makes a strong humming noise
    Or
    3.the vault is opened upon killing the captain

  • @pandoo27 I feel a little bad for being so blunt. Personally I don't agree with your suggestions but I hope that doesn't stop you from making more in the future.

    I'm also glad you took the time to offer alternatives instead of just complain about a mechanic in the game.

  • Too many ships would wait behind rocks for the captain to be killed and raid the fort with full health and supplies. Taking the key for a ride helps balance this out. Make them work for it.

  • If you don't agree with the key not leaving the island or the fort opening immediately, the strong humming noise option would still be great for people who try to hide the key and leave the server.

  • @pandoo27 it's part of the fun and tactics to run off with the key and came back when it's safe to open the vault.

    Mentioning that's never really safe.
    And that's a valid turn around on crews that don't know when to give up and keep going to the fort rather the times they've been defeated.
    And for those waiting for the fort to be done to charge upon the winning crew.

  • @pandoo27 I was at a skeleton fort and 3 diff crews were there after the loot. I managed to grab the key, get the F off the island, hide it on an unmarked island. Returned to said island like an hour later and got all the plunder to meself
