Single player campaign

    I love Sea of Thieves. But sometimes I don't have my friends to play with me and the game was clearly designed for multiplayer. So I'd love to have something to play while I'm alone. Rare are great at making beautiful worlds, I've always loved all of their games and this game is no different. I know SOT was designed with multiplayer in mind...but please! I know multiplayer will come first because it's the whole point of the game but I just want something to play while I'm alone. Thanks for reading anyway :)

    Let's get some content for the game they designed first imo. Maybe in a few years but I'd doubt it.

    @gloog Yeah, I get that. By all means they should flesh out the game's multiplayer first. I meant it in a "maybe later they could do something like it" So I agree but I'm legit excited about a Sea of Thieves Story mode. It could be awesome. But I get your point. Thanks for replying :D

    I don't think you can ever expect a full single player campaign, the closest to it would probably be something like an instanced adventure for a single crew or something like that.

    This is just the nerd in me speaking, but I'd personally rather see a comic or a novel line to go with it. Mainly because the game is already out and a single player campaign would take alot of effort I'd rather see go into other content.

    You are asking for content that would be counter-intuitive to the game for the sole reason you don't want to meet new people in a game that as you stated; is "clearly designed for multiplayer".

    OP is genuine person, no need to c**p on them. Way better than most people on this forum.

    I wouldn't mind seeing instanced combat raids, that are found via in-game treasure maps, cursed compasses, etc.! That's kinda a more singleplayer type experience, but unfortunately still multiplayer.

    @xxbrytexx Well, I do. But after some time the servers will be shut down. And there won't be anything to do with the game. So I'm suggesting they add something to keep people busy after the game's life cycle is over

    I suggest you change your OP to reflect that this is meant for content post server cancellation.

    As the game stands if they were to add a single player mode you would still have the same game minus PVP. They could still have bottles and forts spawn, and all voyages could still be carried out as a single player. So what type of content are you actually requesting?

    I'm fully aware of them and know full well the glory of Amazon. What I mean is a straight up story. Like a 4-5 issue comic line or a long story broken up into 3 novels. Something along those lines gives plenty of leeway to expand on the lore and potentially tease future content.

    Also maybe the ability to save progress so you can come back to finish it later since I don't always have the ability to play through 2 or 3 hours just to do one run due to multiple islands required to finish the mission.

    @eva1977 Well it looks like a novel is coming out in October. You can look forward to that in the coming year.

    there will be no single player campaign but there could be a main quest like in botw.
